About Terroir Wines
Terroir Wines is a small Australian importer of European wines. We specialise in organic and biodynamic wines and wines that are produced with minimal intervention even though the winemakers haven't achieved organic accreditation.
We are particularly interested in the new 'natural' wines, a number of whom we represent. We love them for their vibrancy and their elegance.
Although we are a minor player, we are very serious about our wines. We ensure that they are shipped from the vineyard to our warehouse in climate-controlled containers so that the wine does not suffer from temperature changes on its journey from the vineyard to our distribution centre in Australia.
Terroir Wines is owned and operated by long time food identities Sue Dyson and Roger McShane who have been writing about food and wine in leading Australian publications for the past 25 years. They now also (with some friends) operate a rental property in the centre of the southern Rhone wine area in France. This has been the inspiration for their desire to import wines that they have grown to love in their local area.
